The International AAAI Conference on Web and Social Media provides an intellectual hub and a stimulating and inspiring environment for researchers in the computational social sciences who are interested in exploring social phenomena with algorithmic methods and new kinds of data. ICWSM-17 met in Montréal, Québec, Canada. The conference received a total of 372 full paper submissions including 12 data set papers (a new category for 2017), out of which 50 were accepted, yielding a full paper acceptance rate of 13.4 percent.
