In this paper, we discuss the interplay between distributed multi-agent systems and the concept of "lag." We introduce a new representation of these systems to more clearly include time and the effects of latency. We also present real-world situations where communication delays can mean the difference between success and failure, between order and chaotic disarray.Downloads
